Norfolk Wedding Venues – Oxnead Hall, Norfolk

Oxnead Hall is an incredibly grand wedding venue. Set in 15 acres of stunning grounds, this is a photographers dream.

I have shot a lot of weddings at Oxnead Hall over the years and no matter what the season it is always super fun to shoot.

I particular love Christmas at Oxnead Hall. You probably won’t get the amazing sunsets that you would in summer or the long light days but the warm cosy feel of the barn and the large Christmas trees and twinkly lights always give me a magical feeling.

My top 5 things about Oxnead Hall Norfolk:

  1. There are so many picturesque opportunities from the Tudor Barn, Fountain room, Chapel, stunning tree lines, woodland with ornate bridge over the Monet water gardens, Tower beside the lake… I could go on
  2. The accommodation and suites for Brides and Grooms. By having both bride and groom / Groom and groom / Bride and bride onsite it allows me to capture all the lovely early morning excitement including a few cheeky glasses of fizz (the couple not me)
  3. The Vicar. If you are getting married onsite at St Michael and All Angels Church the vicar is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. It his worth getting married there just for him.
  4. The confetti & sparkler shots. The amazing staff are on hand to make these photos run smoothly and with the red brick ruins for the confetti and light tunnel for sparklers you have the perfect backdrops.
  5. The Dance Floor. There is no better way to finish your amazing wedding day with all your friend and family than have a good old boogie and the Great Barn delivers on space and style. Just make sure you pick and great band or DJ!!!

Weddings at Oxnead Hall are always full on marathons for me. This is partly due to the fact that the grounds are so large and there is so much I want to capture with my couples - so if you book me get your running shoes on.

The flow of a wedding day at Oxnead Hall always runs like clock work.

I normally start at 9.30am with the bride and her entourage in the converted stables for hair and make up photos. I then set up the detail photos of the wedding dress, shoes, jewellery, perfume and wedding bouquet in the Margery Brews bridal suite.

Next I am off to see the groom and groomsmen at Garden Cottage. I capture details like the suite, shoes and button holes as well as the boys relaxing and getting ready.

I then head back over to bridal suite to capture the bride getting into the wedding dress with mum or maid of honour lacing up the dress. Finally I always make sure I get the photo of dad (step dad or mum) seeing the Bride for the first time - (there is always tears).

Now to the serious part - the ceremony. Oxnead Hall has so many options - there is the Fountain Room, Church, outdoors down by the lakes well as the Orangery. That is just the Start of a wedding day but if you would like to find out the rest then drop into my studio. Come and check out my albums of Oxnead Hall so you can get a true picture of a wedding day there.

I would love to hear about your plans so get in contact. Thanks for reading and I hope that this helps.
